The UFO Incident is a 1975 American made-for-television biographical film starring James Earl Jones and Estelle Parsons based on the alleged 1961 alien abduction of Barney and Betty Hill. The term "Zeta Reticulans" has often been applied to the Alien creatures otherwise knowns as "Greys" seen by witnesses all over the globe over the past several decades. The importance of the 1961 Barney and Betty Hill case is that it is the first alien abduction account of modern times, the alien creatures involved were of the "Grey" type and, most importantly, a star map shown to Betty Hill during the encounter has since been found to be an exact match of a star pattern which directly positions the home planet of these aliens as Zeta Reticuli, which we now know is much older than our Sun and that has planets capable of supporting life. A pregnancy test administered to Betty was of a type that did not yet exist in 1961 (amniocentesis) and the process of testing that she and her husband Barney went through mirror those of so many alien abduction stories reported since. Starring Oscar nominee James Earl Jones and Oscar winner Estelle Parsons, and costarring Barnard Hughes, this controversial story, based on John G. Fuller's book "The Interrupted Journey" and emerging out of the Hill's hypnotic regression sessions with Dr. Benjamin Simon, is riveting viewing and thought provoking.

THe Barney And Betty Hill Incident: Barney and Betty Hill were an American couple who claimed they were abducted by extraterrestrials in a rural portion of the state of New Hampshire from September 19 to 20, 1961. The incident came to be called the "Hill Abduction" and the "Zeta Reticuli Incident" because the star map shown to Betty Hill could possibly be the Zeta Reticuli system according to some researchers. Their story was adapted into the best-selling 1966 book The Interrupted Journey and the 1975 television film The UFO Incident. Most of Betty Hill's notes, tapes, and other items have been placed in the permanent collection at the University of New Hampshire, her alma mater. July 2011, the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources marked the site of the alleged craft's first approach with a historical marker. The Hills' story was widely publicized in books and movies.
