Contents:

When a local TV cameraman who has come to see life through his camera lens is fired for protesting the use by law enforcement authorities of his film to sift for suspects, his disillusionment is turned back upon the media itself when he covers the 1968 Democratic National Convention. This provocative analysis of the shadow play that the governmental/mass media complex was back then is even more pertinent in our own era. Winner of the 1969 Mannheim-Heidelberg International Filmfestival's Grand Prize, Nominated for the 1970 Directors Guild of America's DGA Award, and Winner of the 2003 National Film Preservation Board's National Film Registry Award.
