In one of history's most archetypical examples of the proverbial "pot that called the kettle black", the Jews of Poland, whose country the Third Reich invaded in September 1939 and thereby brought about the Second World War, are themselves characterized as people bent on world domination. In 1940, Fritz Hippler was responsible for the management and design of the feature-length documentary film "The Eternal Jew", one of if not the vilest anti-Semitic Nazi film. The film historian Frank Noack assessed "The Eternal Jew" as "probably the most radical inflammatory film of all time". An article written by Hippler in the magazine "The film" stated that his film marked Jews as "parasites of national degeneracy." The film served as a preparation and agreement of the population in the coming holocaust and was mainly used for training of police and SS troops. In the same year, Hippler received from Hitler a secret special endowment of 60,000 Reichsmarks in recognition of his services to the Reich.
